How Americans Shape The News

Just heard some pretty fascinating news on a TED talk (BTW–If you haven’t listened to a TED talk, start downloading the podcast) about how Americans shape the news for the world.  Here is an image taken in 2007 of the news stories around the world:

As you can see America has the lion’s share of the news stories.  Guess who most of the them is about in 2007: The death of Anna Nicole Smith.  I won’t ruin the TED talk for you.  If you want to listen to it, here is Alisa Miller.
